Job summary

Cedarhurst of Nicholasville in Kentucky is seeking a Cook to join our dining team. You will prepare high-quality, nutritious meals for residents, follow recipes, and ensure safety and sanitation standards.

Reporting to the Dining Services Director, you will assist with menu cycles, accommodate dietary needs, and help train new kitchen staff while maintaining a welcoming, resident-centered dining experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year experience as a cook preferred.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• State/county licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and serve foods per recipes and menu cycles.
• Taste and assess food quality.
• Prepare all special dietary needs as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Coordinate meal production with serving hours and inventory.
• Document temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
• Assist with orientation and training of new kitchen staff.
• Maintain food safety and infection control standards.
• Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
