Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year experience as a cook preferred.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve foods according to menu cycles and recipes.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and portion control.
• Assist with dietary needs and special menus as directed.
• Document temperature logs and cleaning schedules as required.
• Train and orient new kitchen staff.
• Ensure safety and infection control procedures are followed.
• Communicate with residents' families about care when needed.
• Collaborate with Dining Services Director and other staff.
