Cedarhurst Senior Living in Blue Springs, MO, is seeking a Cook to prepare high‑quality, nutritious meals that meet safety standards and residents’ dietary needs. You will work with the Dining Services Director and kitchen team to ensure timely service and a welcoming dining experience.

This role supports resident health by maintaining proper food temperatures, documenting logs, and helping train new kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one year of cook experience preferred.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and health IT platforms.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods according to the menu cycle and recipes.
• Taste and determine food quality.
• Prepare special dietary needs as directed.
• Coordinate meal production with serving hours.
• Document temperature logs and cleaning schedules.
• Assist with training of new kitchen staff.
• Maintain safe food handling and infection control.
• Communicate with residents’ families as needed.
• Support teamwork and follow management direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
