The Gardens of Nashville is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to our residents. You will prepare meals according to menus, ensure dietary requirements are met, and serve meals with care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cooking experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring nutritious and appetizing meals.
• Meal Service: Serve meals in a timely manner with proper portions and presentation.
• Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
• Team Collaboration: Work with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff; assist in training new staff.
• Inventory Control: Assist with inventory and report shortages.
• Resident Engagement: Accommodate residents' dietary requests and preferences.
• Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations.
