Job summary

The Gardens of Roseboro is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents at The Gardens of Roseboro.

Essential duties include preparing meals, ensuring timely service, maintaining a clean kitchen, and collaborating with the Dietary Manager to meet dietary requirements and resident preferences, while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menu plans, ensuring meals are nutritious and prepared to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
• Serve meals in a timely manner with high quality, portion control and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff, assist in training new kitchen staff as needed.
• Assist with inventory management and report shortages or order needs to the Dietary Manager.
• Respond to special dietary requests and accommodate residents’ food preferences.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
