Job summary

Monarch Communities in Connecticut is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for our senior living residents, families, and guests. You will study recipes, set up menus, and ensure food safety and regulatory compliance under the Director of Culinary Services.

Multiple shifts available including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. The role requires preparing high-quality dishes, accommodating dietary needs, and maintaining meticulous records.

Qualifications

• Maintains ServSafe certification or ability to obtain certification.
• At least 1 year related experience including food prep and special diets.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities with good judgment and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve high-quality meals.
• Ensure special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified foods as directed.
• Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements.
• Monitor food preparation, storage and handling to ensure adherence with HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols.
• Maintain accurate hot and cold food, refrigerator, and freezer temperature logs.
