Job summary

Monarch Communities seeks a Cook to prepare meals for our senior living residents, families, and guests. Reporting to the Director of Culinary Services, you will study recipes, set up menus and ensure high-quality dishes while maintaining sanitation standards.

Full-time, part-time and per-diem shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends; salary ranges from $20.00 to $21.00 per hour with comprehensive benefits and record-keeping responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current ServSafe certification or able to obtain ServSafe certification.
• One year related experience including food preparation and special diets.
• High school diploma or GED accepted.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality meals.
• Ensure special dietary needs are met and texture modified foods as directed.
• Ensure compliance with record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements.
• Monitor food preparation, storage and handling per HACCP, labeling and storage protocols.
• Maintain accurate temperature logs for hot/cold foods, refrigerators and freezers.
