Job summary

Cogir Senior Living seeks a dedicated Cook for our community restaurant. You will prepare nutritious meals, collaborate with the culinary director, and help deliver exceptional service to our residents, families, and guests.

Our focus is on scratch cooking, seasonal menus, and diverse culinary options from around the globe. The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of full-service kitchen experience, knowledge of kitchen equipment, and a passion for senior living.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler Card and understanding of kitchen sanitation.
• At least 1 year of full-service kitchen experience.
• Ability to read and execute recipes; capacity for large-batch cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Maintain clean and sanitized stations throughout service.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
• Restock foods and check supplies for proper service.
• Follow health and safety regulations and food codes.
• Participate in training and keep certifications up to date.
• Assist with all kitchen operations as needed.
