Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents and guests in a community setting. You will work with the culinary director to create menus ranging from traditional comfort foods to global dishes, using local ingredients and seasonal options.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of kitchen experience, ensures safety and sanitation, and can handle large-batch cooking while maintaining quality and taste for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Culinary school is a plus, or equivalent experience.
• Food Handler Card and kitchen sanitation knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, dietary and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
