Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in the United States is seeking a Cook for our community restaurant. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, families, and guests, working closely with the culinary director to craft seasonal menus from scratch using local ingredients.

The ideal candidate brings culinary passion, 1+ year kitchen experience, and a commitment to safety and high-quality service for seniors, with flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; culinary school is a plus.
• Food handler card and knowledge of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• At least 1 year of experience in a full-service kitchen; ability to cook from scratch.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, dietary, and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with the dining services team to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock all foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in required training sessions including food handling and safety certifications.
