Emphasis on service to residents and maintaining high food safety and cleanliness standards. Ideally you have six months of commercial kitchen experience, a strong ability to follow recipes, and good communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Ability to follow menus and recipes accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and ServSafe guidelines.
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus and recipes; ensure taste, temperature, appearance.
• Inspect diet trays and serve according to portion control and dietary orders.
• Prepare cold items, bakery and salads; cook hot foods as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety throughout the kitchen and work areas.
