Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Cook to play an integral role in our team, community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose is to prepare cold food, bakery and salad items, while following menus and recipes with attention to taste, temperature, and appearance.

You will also ensure food safety, assist with inventory, and help serve meals to residents and guests, maintaining cleanliness and efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Six months experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledgeable in cooking large quantities of food with little to no direction on how to cook the recipes.
• Knowledgeable of culinary practices, procedures, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following menus and recipes so food is appetizing in appearance.
• Inspect diet trays to ensure correct diet and portion control.
• Prepare cold item foods, bakery and salad items.
• Cook hot foods as directed by supervisors and follow food safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and assist with inventory and replenishment.
