Job summary

The Goodman Group is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team and support our residents with nutritious, appetizing meals prepared from fresh ingredients.

Responsibilities include preparing cold items, bakery and salads, cooking hot foods as directed, inspecting diet trays, and serving meals while following standardized recipes and portion controls. You will maintain sanitary work areas, assist with inventory, and collaborate with staff to ensure timely meal service to residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• Six months experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledgeable in cooking large quantities with little direction on recipes.
• Knowledgeable of culinary practices, procedures, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals that follow menus and recipes.
• Inspect special diet trays to ensure correct diet is served.
• Prepare cold item foods, bakery and salad items.
• Cook hot foods as directed by Supervisors and follow food safety procedures.
• Adhere to food service timelines.
• Serve meals to residents and guests as needed.
• Assist in food preparation for special meals, parties, and events.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas.
• Assist with inventory and replenishment for food and supplies.
