Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living in Lexington, KY is seeking an Executive Director to oversee daily operations, strategic planning, and financial performance. You will lead a team of 30–50 staff across departments to ensure exceptional resident care and compliance with regulatory standards.

You will partner with Sales and Nursing to drive occupancy, build community relations, and promote a positive, compliant work culture while living Cedarhurst values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2–3 years of management experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of management experience; senior living experience strongly desired.
• Applicable state licensure is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience with accounting functions such as accounts payable/receivable and balancing ledgers.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations including P&L, marketing, sales, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
• Manage 3–5 subordinate supervisors supervising 30–50 employees across Housekeeping, Resident Care, Maintenance, Dietary, and Admin.
• Direct staffing, scheduling, and labor budgeting to ensure adequate coverage.
• Lead department direction, coordination, and evaluation; uphold Cedarhurst standards and values.
• Drive occupancy growth and represent the community in external relationships with residents, families, and partners.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with all applicable agencies and maintain high-quality care.
• Foster a sales-oriented environment by supporting the Director of Sales in tours and follow-ups.
