Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Community Manager to lead the daily operations of an Active Adult community, ensuring exceptional resident experiences, strong financial performance, and full regulatory compliance. This role oversees onsite team members, coordinates resources, and fosters a vibrant environment for residents aged 55+.

You will liaise with ownership, residents, and asset management, hire and train staff, supervise leasing activities, and monitor budgets, rent performance, and NOI growth

Qualifications

• Experience managing residential communities and onsite teams.
• Strong understanding of regulatory housing requirements (Fair Housing, ADA).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responds promptly to resident concerns, complaints, questions, and requests, and takes appropriate action to resolve issues.
• Completes various required accounting, financial, administrative, operational, and other reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Liaises with ownership, investors, and regional/asset management teams; provides performance updates and market insights.
• Oversees hiring, onboarding, and training, and manages team performance and development in line with company policies.
• Oversees lease enforcement processes, inspections, notices, evictions, and related lease policy compliance.
• Conducts daily huddles, coaching sessions, and annual reviews with team members.
• Supervises leasing activities to achieve revenue and occupancy goals; conducts tours and ensures model units are tour-ready.
• Acts to meet revenue targets by setting rents, collecting payments, and overseeing financial reporting and vendor billing.
