Job summary

The Ivy at Berkeley is seeking a Full-Time Driver to safely operate community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. The role may also assist in setting up and breaking down activities, aligning with the community’s mission and values.

Candidates must be 21+, have a High School diploma or equivalent, possess a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement, and ideally two years of driving experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Prefer two years of vehicle/van/bus driving experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Criminal background check and health screenings required.
• Vaccination/ PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, and activities.
• Assist with loading residents and belongings onto/off community vehicles.
• Follow state and federal driving laws.
• Ensure vehicle inspection and safety standards are followed.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and in the community.
• Maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
