Job summary

The Ivy Golden Gate, a premier senior living community managed by Oakmont Management Group in California, is seeking a reliable Driver to operate our community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. You will help set up activities, load residents safely, and ensure compliance with all driving regulations.

Qualifications include being at least 21, possessing a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement, and a background check with health screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle transporting people.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Criminal background check and health screening tests required.
• Vaccination and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and belongings onto/off community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with vehicle inspection and safety standards and demonstrate safe driving.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and in the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.
