Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, Ivy Park at Belmont in Belmont, California, is seeking an Activity Assistant - Part Time to help organize, schedule, promote and direct activities and excursions that enhance residents' independence and quality of life.

You will assist the Activity Director, recruit volunteers, communicate with residents and families, and help maintain a safe environment. Shifts are Saturday through Monday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with pay between $19 and $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Must pass criminal background check and health screening tests (including TB).
• Ability to drive community vehicles and operate a PC with MS Office apps.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in creating a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation through scheduled activities, excursions, events and clubs.
• Recruit, manage and schedule community volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, coworkers and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards.
