Job summary

Oakmont Management Group in Belmont, CA is seeking an Activity Assistant to organize and lead engaging programs for residents, promoting independence and social connection.

You'll assist the Activity Director, arrange excursions, recruit volunteers, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. Weekend shifts on Saturday through Monday with 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM hours are required, with comprehensive benefits and ongoing team support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license; Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Able to operate a personal computer and proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff with tact and friendliness.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
