Job summary

Oakmont Management Group at Ivy Park Hayward is seeking an Activity Assistant to join our premier senior living community. This part-time role supports residents through engaging activities to promote independence and quality of life.

Shifts Sundays and Mondays 9am–5:30pm, pay $22–$23 per hour. You will assist with planning, scheduling, and promoting activities, coordinating volunteers, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment for residents, families, and teammates.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• preferably 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires valid driver license with Passenger Endorsement (Class B/C).
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in creating a engaging and rewarding social atmosphere.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
