Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks an attentive Part Time Activity Assistant at Ivy Park in Belmont to organize, schedule, promote, and direct community activities and excursions. The goal is to enhance residents' independence and quality of life through engaging programs.

The role requires 1 year of activity coordination or teaching seniors preferred, a high school diploma, and the ability to operate MS Office. A Class C license (Passenger Endorsement preferred) and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C license, preferably Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including TB Tests.
• Vaccination and PPE requirements may be in place per regulatory guidelines.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Community and promote resident participation.
• Develop, recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively and with tact to residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with other departments.
