Ivy at Hawaii Kai is seeking an Activity Coordinator to organize, schedule, promote and direct activities for Assisted Living residents, enhancing independence and quality of life in line with our mission.

The role requires coordinating engaging programs, communicating with residents and families, and ensuring safety. A high school diploma and MS Office skills are preferred, with experience working with seniors a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents a plus.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccination/safety requirements per regulatory guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Assisted Living area.
• Promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, special events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, games, art and creativity opportunities, educational classes and other activities.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
