Job summary

Ivy at Hawaii Kai seeks a dedicated Activities Assistant to organize, promote, and run engaging programs for residents, enhancing independence and quality of life. The role supports the Activity Director with exciting events, excursions, and clubs while fostering resident participation and safety.

The position requires strong communication, basic MS Office skills, and a willingness to drive community vehicles. Prior experience with seniors is preferred and a background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.
• Must be able to operate MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director by organizing, promoting, and directing activities and excursions.
• Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule community volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive community vehicles and support teamwork across departments.
