Job summary

Ivy at Hawaii Kai, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks an Activity Coordinator to organize and promote engaging activities for assisted living residents. The role supports independence and quality of life in a senior living community.

The position requires a high school diploma, 18+ age, and preferably 1 year of experience coordinating activities for seniors. A Class C (or B) driver license is a plus, with opportunities to travel within Hawaii and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Current Class C, prefer Class B driver license to transport residents a plus.
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an interesting, creative, and rewarding social atmosphere throughout the Assisted Living area; promote resident participation through regularly scheduled high-quality activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movies, exercise, clubs, games, and educational classes.
• Communicate effectively and display tact and friendliness with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
