Job summary

PACS Group is seeking an Activity Assistant to support the Activity Director in creating a creative and interactive activities program for residents. The role emphasizes safety, compliance with standards, and responsive care that aligns with residents’ interests and needs.

You will help plan calendars, coordinate transportation, and encourage participation in hobbies, crafts, and reading while maintaining clear documentation and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred one-year experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct individual, small, and large group activities.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and maintain attendance records.
• Support communication between staff, residents, families, and external agencies.
• Assist in discharge planning and activity care plans.
• Help arrange transportation for residents when needed.
• Encourage participation in self-initiated activities and provide reading materials.
