Job summary

PACS is seeking an Activity Assistant to help run a creative and interactive activities program in a long-term care setting. You will ensure the program aligns with resident needs and regulations, supporting the Activities Director and care team.

Key duties include planning activities, documenting progress, coordinating with families, and arranging resident transportation when needed. A high school diploma and interest in elder care are required, with preferred experience in a similar facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and conducting individual and group activities.
• Assist in communications between staff, residents, families and public to meet residents’ needs.
• Assist in developing monthly activity calendars and maintaining attendance records.
• Support discharge planning and activity care plans and resident assessments.
• Assist with arranging transportation for residents for outings, appointments or discharge.
