Commonwealth Senior Living at South Boston invites an Activity Assistant to support the Program Director in leading and executing Resident Programs in Sweet Memories and Assisted Living, helping residents stay engaged, healthy and active.

You will assist with transportation and outings, maintain the community calendar, and document resident attendance through digital programs, while fostering a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Competenze

• Education or training in a healthcare field or certified as an activity professional by a recognized accrediting body, preferred but not required.
• Experience working with seniors and those with memory loss strongly preferred.
• Two years’ experience in activity planning for seniors preferred.
• Must have knowledge of social and psychological needs of residents.
• Ability to work without close supervision and follow verbal/written instructions.
• Must prioritize, manage time well and solve problems.
• Valid driver’s license, with no major violations within 3 years.
• Working knowledge of and ability to utilize technology.

Mansioni

• Assists the Program Director with planning, developing and preparing a variety of physical, social, recreational and educational events.
• Assists with transportation and resident outings.
• Assists with the production of the community monthly calendar.
• Assists in maintaining documentation and resident attendance through digital programs.
• Maintains knowledge of communities, services, and events in the area and incorporates into activity schedule as appropriate.
• Establishes a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Promotes teamwork and positive attitude among associates.
• Continually evaluates the quality and consistency of activities for residents and suggests adjustments.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive the community van safely.
• Other duties as assigned
