Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living at the Devonshire is seeking a Program Assistant to support the Program Director in leading Resident Programs in Sweet Memories and Assisted Living. You will help create engaging, safe activities, coordinate calendars, and assist in transportation and events.

The role requires a caring approach to seniors, memory-impaired residents preferred, and the ability to drive the community van. Full-time position with weekend rotation options and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Education or training in a health care field or certified as an activity professional by a recognized accrediting body, preferred but not required.
• Experience working with seniors and memory loss strongly preferred.
• Two years’ experience in activity planning for seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with planning, developing and preparing physical, social, recreational and educational events.
• Assist with transportation and resident outings.
• Assist with the production of the community monthly calendar.
• Maintain documentation and resident attendance through digital programs.
• Promote a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
• Encourage teamwork and positive attitude among associates.
• Evaluate activity quality and suggest adjustments as needed.
• Must have a clean driving record and be able to drive the community van.
