Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively with management, associates, residents and families.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; background in arts therapies preferred.
• Experience in social or recreational programs in licensed health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Dementia is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Assist the DLE with planning, coordinating and running community activities.
• Assist with planning the monthly activities calendar and newsletter if necessary.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and support independence.
• Help with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities.
• May attend off-site outings and ensure residents' safety and meaningful experience.
• Maintain the Activity Participation Tracking Chart and support parallel programming.

Formation

High school diploma

Art, music, drama or OT background preferred

Experience in social/recreational programs in licensed health care setting preferred

Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Dementia preferred
