HarborChase of Naperville seeks an Activities Assistant to plan, coordinate, and supervise community activities for residents. You will help create monthly calendars and newsletters, encourage participation, and assist with supplies and outings as needed.

You’ll support resident independence while maintaining safety and privacy, report any concerns, and contribute to a positive, activity-filled environment for seniors.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma required.
• Background in art, music, drama, or occupational therapy preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively with all levels of management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
• One-year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Dementia preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist the DLE with planning, coordinating and running all community activities.
• Assist with planning of the monthly activities calendar and monthly newsletter if necessary.
• Encourage residents to participate in activities and support their independence.
• Help with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities.
• May attend outings off-site and help ensure safe, meaningful trips.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the DLE.
• Maintain the Activity Participation Tracking Chart where applicable.
• Support the success of the community Parallel Programming schedule.
• Respect residents’ privacy and safety during interactions.
• May drive residents to activities when needed.
• Promote a safe and alert work environment; prioritize associate and resident safety.
