Job summary

Qualifications

• Able to communicate effectively with management, associates, residents, family members, and outside contacts.
• One-year experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s Dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DLE with planning, coordinating and running all community activities.
• Assist with planning the monthly activities calendar and monthly newsletter.
• Encourage residents to participate in community activities, assisting them to attend while supporting independence.
• Help with ordering supplies and equipment for regular activities.
• May attend outings off-site and help keep residents safe and engaged on trips.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the DLE and maintain activity tracking.
