Job summary

HarborChase is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the planning and execution of community activities for residents in Delaware. You will coordinate schedules, assist with monthly calendars and newsletters, and encourage participation while promoting resident independence.

You will also assist with supply ordering, accompany residents on outings when needed, and help maintain safety and privacy for residents, including familiarity with Safe Return or similar programs where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience or background in arts or therapies preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.
• Experience in social or recreational programming in licensed healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's Dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist DLE with planning, coordinating and running community activities.
• Help plan monthly activities calendar and newsletter.
• Encourage residents to participate and support independence.
• Assist with ordering supplies and equipment for activities.
• Attend outings off-site and supervise residents for safe, meaningful trips.
• Maintain Activity Participation Tracking Chart and support Parallel Programming.
