Bethesda Senior Living Communities seeks an Activities Director to craft stimulating social, recreational, and spiritual programming for residents. You will build monthly calendars, design activities aligned with residents’ histories and preferences, and empower residents to participate or lead events.

The role involves coordinating with families and staff, managing supplies, and supporting marketing communications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of activities programming.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Must be able to multi-task and work with frequent interruptions.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate with residents and staff.
• Must show compassion and genuinely care for the elderly.
• Must be knowledgeable of MSDS sheets on hazardous materials.
• Must be able to work independently and prioritize workload.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must have a current, active driver’s license (CDL may be required).

Responsabilités

• Prepares a monthly calendar of activities.
• Creates, plans and implements activities suited to residents’ needs.
• Develops individual activities for residents who don’t participate in groups.
• Involves residents in leading activities and assists with newsletters.
• Plans, organizes and participates in Special Events.
• Maintains activity supplies and budget records.
• Coordinates with other managers to ensure teamwork.
• Provides activities training to staff.
• Facilitates resident meetings and communicates with families.
• Ensures adequate daily coverage for meals and transportation as needed.
