Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a part-time Life Enrichment Activities Assistant in Mechanicsville, Virginia to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing and implementing a diverse schedule of recreational and educational programs for independent living and assisted living residents.

You will lead daily activities, survey resident interests, coordinate with the program team, and help promote participation while maintaining records and organizing materials.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or experience; entry-level position with 1-3 years experience desired.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, engaging, and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of meaningful recreational and educational programs for IL and AL neighborhoods.
• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey and interview residents to determine interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Coordinate with the program team to plan calendars, events, and outings for the upcoming month.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to promote participation and satisfaction.
• Document and maintain required records, organize resident council meetings, and maintain programming areas.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a volunteer program; promote programs via notices and posters.
• Arrange chairs, tables, and equipment; assist with resident transportation to activities and outings.
• May transport residents to appointments and off-site outings.
