Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant in Mechanicsville, VA. The role supports the Life Enrichment Director, helping design and implement multi-level recreational and educational programs for independent living and assisted living residents.

You will lead daily programs, coordinate with the team, and promote resident participation while documenting records and promoting family engagement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and implementing a monthly activity program for IL and AL neighborhoods.
• Lead 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Coordinate with program team to plan calendars and outings for the upcoming month.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Transport residents to activities and appointments as needed.
• Document and maintain records; organize programming spaces and supplies.
