Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating and delivering a wide variety of meaningful recreational and educational programs for our IL and AL neighborhoods in Elkhart, Indiana.

The role includes planning a monthly program calendar, leading 6–7 high quality daily programs, coordinating with the program team, recruiting volunteers, and assisting with resident transportation and outings.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Imaginative, engaging and have a passion for working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead 6-7 high quality programs per day.
• Develop monthly program calendars based on wellness dimensions.
• Survey residents to tailor activities to interests and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with LED, HSD, HS assistant to plan calendars and events.
• Organize and attend resident council meetings and coordinate supplies.
• Promote programs through daily notices and posters.
• Arrange seating, equipment, and spaces for activities and outings.
• Provide transportation for residents to groceries, appointments, and leisure activities.
