Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist to handle complex litigated auto and homeowners claims from a remote setting. You will guide defense counsel, assess settlements, and manage indemnity exposure while ensuring cost-efficient resolutions.

The role requires strong litigation experience, ability to coordinate discovery, and collaboration with executive leadership to shape strategy and outcomes. Travel may be required for enterprise meetings and mediations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High School diploma required.
• A proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Prior Senior Casualty experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes analysis of claim, including loss facts and applicable factors.
• Creates discovery plan with depositions, experts, IMEs, and accident reconstruction for first/third-party claims.
• Directly contacts defense counsel to provide direction and settlement authority.
• Reviews liability, damages, coverage, and risk for independent settlement.
• Authorizes and monitors outside counsel budgets and analyzes defense expenses.
• Presents litigated case recommendations to local and executive management.
