Job summary

Sentry is seeking a Claims Representative Specialist on the PL – Litigation team in a hybrid environment. You will conduct prompt claims investigation, evaluation, and settlement or denial of litigated claims, verifying coverages and reviewing relevant policy language.

You will interact with claimants, witnesses, and legal representatives while maintaining thorough documentation. In this role you will negotiate settlements within authority limits, analyze complex documents, and mentor colleagues

Qualifications

• Knowledge of litigation claims processes and regulatory requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder interactions.
• Ability to analyze complex documents and make sound claims decisions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate litigated claims; determine settlement or denial.
• Verify coverages by reviewing policy terms and related docs; coordinate with coverage counsel as needed.
• Take statements, review police reports, and assess liability and damages.
• Negotiate settlements within authority limits with claimants and counsel.
• Document decisions and communications throughout the claim lifecycle; mentor teammates.
