Job summary

Sentry Insurance in El Paso, TX is seeking a Claims Representative Specialist on our PL - Litigation team to expertly investigate, evaluate, and settle or deny litigated claims. You will negotiate settlements with claimants and their attorneys and document decisions throughout the claim life cycle.

With a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5+ years of related experience, you will analyze complex policies, medical reports, and evidence, while mentoring colleagues and upholding regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of related claims experience.
• Extensive knowledge of litigated claims.
• Ability to review complex documents, policies, medical reports, and regulations.
• Strong writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to manage workload and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve litigated claims; negotiate settlements with claimants and their counsel.
• Verify coverages and review policy terms and language.
• Evaluate liability by reviewing statements, police reports, and evidence.
• Document decisions and communicate throughout life cycle of the claim.
• Mentor other associates and share knowledge.
