Venable seeks a Litigation Docketing Senior Analyst in Chicago to provide comprehensive calendaring services for the firm and its regional offices. The role emphasizes ensuring adherence to calendaring policies, deadlines across state and federal courts, and producing accurate reports for attorneys and staff.

The candidate will lead docketing projects, train team members, and maintain high-quality standards while managing workload in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 4 years in a litigation docketing or related department; strong knowledge of court rules and deadlines across state/federal appellate courts.
• Experience with rules-based calendaring software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently calendar litigation, bankruptcy and agency matters and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with calendaring procedures and department processes.
• Maintain deadlines, events, and docket entries with consistent best practices.
• Prepare calendar and case update reports; assist with data analysis and QA.
• Assist in training staff on docketing systems and policies.
• Lead project coordination within the department when needed.
