Venable LLP in Chicago is seeking a Litigation Docketing Senior Analyst to provide comprehensive calendaring services across the firm, overseeing processes and QA to minimize missed deadlines. The role requires strong litigation docketing expertise and the ability to lead projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years in a managing docketing context with litigation processing knowledge.
• Extensive knowledge of litigation processes, court rules and procedures.
• Subject matter expert for computing deadlines across state, federal and appellate courts.
• Experience with rules-based calendaring software preferred.
• Strong ability to research, analyze and summarize issues in writing.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently calendar firm litigation, bankruptcy and agency matters and deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with calendaring procedures and department processes.
• Maintain deadlines, events and docket entries with consistent quality.
• Research agency, court and judges' rules and interpret those rules for attorneys.
• Respond to calendar-related requests from attorneys and staff.
• Create, review and distribute calendar and case update reports.
• Prepare data analyses and perform QA on team members' work.
• Assist in training programs on docketing systems and policies.
• Coordinate projects and lead department initiatives when needed.
