Venable is seeking a Litigation Docketing Senior Analyst in Washington, DC to provide comprehensive calendaring services for firm matters and regional offices. You will oversee calendaring processes, ensure policy compliance, and support attorneys with deadline calculations across state and federal courts.

The role requires at least four years in a docketing department, strong research and analysis skills, and proficiency in MS Word/Excel/Outlook.

Formación

• A minimum of four years of experience in Managing Clerk/Managing Attorney Department or Litigation Docketing Department with knowledge of litigation processes and deadlines across state, federal, and appellate courts.
• Extensive knowledge of litigation processes, court rules and procedures.
• Subject matter expert for computing deadlines for state, federal and appellate courts.
• Experience with rules-based calendaring software preferred.
• Strong research, writing and critical thinking skills with commitment to quality.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw sound conclusions.
• Ability to work independently in high-volume, fast-paced environments with limited supervision.
• Service-oriented and collaborative with attorneys and staff.
• Excellent MS Word, Excel, Outlook skills and familiarity with PDF tools.

Responsabilidades

• Independently calendaring firm litigation, bankruptcy and agency matters and all related deadlines and events.
• Ensuring compliance with calendaring procedures, best practices and department processes.
• Maintaining deadlines, events, and docket entries; consistency in following procedures.
• Conducting research on agency, court and judges' rules and assisting attorneys and paralegals with interpretation of those rules.
• Responding to requests from attorneys, legal administrative assistants, and paralegals regarding calendared events and deadlines.
• Creating, reviewing, and distributing calendar and case update reports.
• Compiling and preparing analysis of data for miscellaneous requests and reports; performing QA on others' work.
• Assisting manager in conducting ongoing training on docketing systems, policies and protocols.
• Assuming lead staff role coordinating projects and workflow.
