Job description

Our client, a prestigious, nationwide law firm dedicated to providing legal services to financial institutions, has an immediate need for an experienced Senior Litigation Attorney. This is a fully remote role.

Our candidate of choice will handle and manage cases with an emphasis on residential real estate litigation, mortgage and transactional matters, and protect the client’s interests in litigation proceedings and collection cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Handle caseload and bill time hourly.
2. Attend mediations, trials, hearings, and perform other duties as assigned.
3. Travel as needed.
4. Collaborate effectively with team members.
5. Manage and prioritize multiple projects and cases.
6. Assist with other duties and special projects.
7. Dual licensing in Texas is a plus.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. Minimum of eight years of litigation/courtroom experience; foreclosure experience is a plus.
3. Member of the state Bar, maintaining all licensing and CLE requirements.
4. Subject matter expert in their field.
5. Proficient in legal research and writing.
6. Experienced in taking and defending depositions.
7. Skilled in drafting pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, and correspondence.
8. Proficient with Fastcase or Westlaw.
9. Well-versed in rules of evidence, evidence introduction, and civil procedure in state and federal courts.
