We are currently seeking a Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney to join our team on a full-time remote basis. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, detail-oriented professional with a solid background in California workers' compensation law.

Responsibilities include:

• Defending employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims
• Conducting depositions of applicants and cross-examinations of physicians
• Representing clients at hearings, conferences, and trials before the WCAB
• Performing legal research and drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements
• Evaluating and negotiating settlements
• Advising clients on legal strategy and risk assessment

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
