Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team, supporting high‑performance EDA compute farms. You will design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Linux environments across RPM distributions, and build automation to keep systems highly available and scalable.

You will drive Infrastructure as Code with Ansible and Terraform, develop tooling in Python/Bash/Go, manage LDAP/SSSD and NFS storage, and design container infrastructure with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of deep systems engineering with RPM-based Linux distributions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Automation of end-to-end multi-tier infrastructure configurations and centralized deployments; multi-tool CM experience bonus.
• Deep understanding of virtualization and container internals (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, MicroVMs) and scalable container infra design.
• Registry management, custom image development, and layer optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
• Strong networking fundamentals: OSI, TCP, MTU, tcpdump/wireshark, and SDN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, tune, and secure Linux operating systems across production and non-production environments.
• Lead infrastructure configuration management and continuous deployment workflows using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Write high-quality code in Python, Bash, or Go to automate tasks and telemetry.
• Manage LDAP/SSSD and networked storage environments to support high-performance workloads.
