Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team, supporting high-performance EDA compute farms and enterprise Linux environments. You will design, deploy, and maintain RPM-based systems, driving automation and robust tooling for scalable, highly available infrastructure.

You will work with Docker/Podman/Kubernetes, Ansible and Terraform, and be involved in performance tuning, storage, and network service management to support demanding

Qualifications

• 8+ years of deep systems engineering experience with RPM-based Linux distributions.
• Strong track record automating end-to-end multi-tier infrastructure configurations.
• Experience with more than one configuration management system is a bonus.
• Proficiency with Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
• Deep understanding of OSI layers, TCP states, MTU optimization, and SDN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, tune, and secure mission-critical Linux operating systems in production and non-production environments.
• Lead infrastructure configuration management and CI/CD workflows using Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform).
• Write high-quality code in Python, Bash, or Go to automate tasks and gather telemetry.
• Manage Linux Naming Services (LDAP/SSSD) and networked storage (NFS, Autofs) for high-performance workloads.
