Job summary

NVIDIA in Washington is seeking a Linux Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade Linux environments across RPM-based distributions, optimized for high-throughput EDA workloads. You will drive automation with Ansible, Terraform, and other IaC tools, write tooling in Python/Bash/Go, and ensure scalable, highly available infrastructure.

The role requires deep Linux internals expertise and strong networking knowledge.

Qualifications

8+ years of Linux systems engineering on RPM-based distributions.
Experience automating multi-tier infrastructure configurations using IaC tools.
Strong virtualization and container internals knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
Deep networking knowledge (OSI, TCP, tcpdump).

Responsibilities

Maintain, tune, and secure Linux operating systems across production and non-production environments.
Lead infrastructure configuration management and CD workflows using IaC (Ansible/Terraform).
Develop tooling to automate tasks in Python/Bash/Go and improve telemetry.
Manage LDAP/SSSD and NFS/Autofs for high-performance workloads.
