Job summary

SpaceXSI is hiring a Sr. Software Engineer, Linux Kernel, to design, build, and operate the Linux-based OS that powers our supercomputer network fabric.

You will write or rewrite high‑performance drivers to extract maximum hardware capability, while ensuring reliability and scalability of the platform across production environments. You will collaborate with hardware teams to bring up new generations of supercomputer hardware, improving the OS and software stack while maintaining a compact

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on systems programming in C/C++.
• Strong OS fundamentals including scheduling, memory management, and I/O.
• Experience with Linux kernel networking and driver development.
• Experience debugging kernel, network, and userspace components.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, PCIe, I2C, SPI interfaces.
• Secure boot and OS hardening experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a lean Linux-based OS underpinning our supercomputer network fabric.
• Develop and optimize high‑performance device drivers to maximize hardware capability.
• Deploy, operate, and debug the platform in production with robust observability and configuration tooling.
