Job summary

SpaceXSI in Seattle is seeking engineers to build and maintain a lean Linux-based operating system for our supercomputer network fabric. You will write high-performance device drivers and manage production deployment, debugging, and reliability improvements across the platform.

The role requires deep knowledge of OS internals, networking interfaces, and cross-functional collaboration with hardware teams to bring up new systems and optimize the software stack.

Qualifications

• Hands-on systems programming in C or C++.
• Strong operating systems fundamentals from hardware to high level applications.
• Understanding of computer networking and network devices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the lean Linux-based OS that underpins the supercomputer network fabric.
• Write or rewrite high-performance device drivers for hardware.
• Manage deployment, operation, and debugging of the platform in production.
• Resolve anomalies and drive reliability improvements.
• Develop and improve observability and configuration management tools.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to bring up OS/stack on new hardware.
