Job summary

The Liberty Hotel in Boston is seeking dedicated kitchen staff to prepare high-quality meals and assist in all kitchen operations. You will start items prepared ahead of time, rotate perishables, and ensure proper temperatures are maintained.

This role requires dexterity, physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs, and strong communication skills. Hotel experience is preferred; you will support cost-control measures, maintain buffet stock, and operate a range of kitchen equipment.

Qualifications

• Hotel kitchen experience is preferred.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and production standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time, ensuring not to over-prepare.
• Date and rotate perishables; maintain proper temperatures.
• Check pars for shift use; determine prep, freezer pull and line setup.
• Note out-of-stock items or shortages and assist in keeping buffet stocked.
• Return unused items to designated storage with proper dating.
• Assist in cost-control efforts to reduce waste and manage usage.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, and mixers.
• Be reliable and available to work regularly; perform other duties as assigned.
